| All foundations come in 20 gram sifter jars which hold approximately 2 teaspoons of mineral foundation. -Loose Mineral Foundation: Tap a small amount of powder into the lid of the sifter jar and swirl your face/powder brush or a cotton ball into it. Tap off any excess powder. Start off using very little, as it is highly pigmented. If using a brush, tap the bottom of the handle with the brush head facing upward on a hard surface (eg. counter) This settles the powder into the brush head. Firmly spread powder on clean, dry skin to evenly blend pigments. Keep in mind, a little goes a long way! If you feel it is not enough, Repeat using a light layer.Use a shader brush to apply small amounts to the problem areas and blend well. For those with dry, flaky, skin, loose mineral foundation can be blended with light, daily facial moisturizer or aloe vera gel to create a cream foundation. First moisturize as usual, then tap a small amount of powder into the palm of your hand. Add a drop of moisturizer. Blend together until a smooth, creamy consistency is achieved. Use your fingers or a makeup wedge to apply. -Lips: Use your favorite clear gloss, pick out your mica color and apply it on your glossed lips. You can also mix the mica with the gloss and then apply, whichever you prefer -Nail Polish: Using clear nail polish, dip brush into the polish, then into the desired mica color, and paint on nails. Add a clear top coat for the perfect shine! Polish may also be mixed in a separate container for larger batches. Add mica color to any existing colored nail polish to change its shade. Be creative & Have fun! -Hair Highlights or Lowlights: Mix with your favorite hair gel or hair spray. Use a blending brush, dip it in your mica color and start at the root and stroke all the way to the ends. Body Shimmer: Using a blush brush, dip into the desired color and spread a light coating of powder over the shoulders and chest for a beautiful shimmery glow. Bronzer: Put a dab of your favorite lotion (or even suntan lotion) in the palm of your hand. Mix a small amount of mica color of your choice in with the lotion. Rub on the areas you want to expose. |
